1938 D’Aprato Studios Infant of Prague Chalkware Statue with glass eyes in apparently excellent condition.Marked at the back "1938 Daprato Studios Chicago / New York"..Daprato Statuary was founded in 1860 in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded by the 4 DaPrato brothers, American immigrants from the Tuscan town of Barga, Italy. In 1909 the company received the title of "Pontifical Institute of Christian Art" By 1917, Daprato Statuary Company operated locations in Chicago, New York, Montreal, Canada, and in Pietrasanta, Italy. The Daprato Rigali studios are still in operation.Statue is 10"x6"x24".
