In 1935, Florit moved to Paris to complete his training, immersing himself in the city?s avant-garde art movements. This period exposed him to modernist currents that would influence his later work. Upon returning to Spain, he settled in Barcelona. Florit was a founding member of the group Artistas en Accion (Artists in Action), which promoted modernist and socially engaged art. He exhibited widely, both individually and in group shows, including at the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid (1935) and the Venice Biennale. From 1952 to 1960, he worked on numerous mural projects. His style evolved significantly in the late 1950s and 1960s, with a shift in both concept and execution. In 1967, he received the Bronze Medal of the Zaragoza Biennale for Paisaje, and in 1969, the Estrada Saladich Foundation Prize. His career reflects a blend of traditional Spanish draughtsmanship with modernist experimentation, and he remains a notable figure in 20th-century Spanish art.
