This is the 1966 Limited Editions Club (LEC) publication of Giorgio Vasari’s Lives of the Most Eminent Painters, presented in two volumes and housed in a marbled slipcase. The books are printed on fine paper with letterpress text and accompanied by high-quality illustrations of the artists’ work. Silk pull-ribbons remain intact. One of 1,500 printed at Stamperia Valdonega, Verona. Slipcase/Box measures approx. 12" x 4.25" x 9" and weighs 10 lbs 5 oz.
