Description
Salvador Dali (1904-1989) Signed Book with Original Ink Drawing of a Snail like Figure with Crown. Dali often incorporated snails into his work. The drawing is personalized to Mr. Santiago Pollarsy (1931-2016) and with a photocopy of an original photo of Dali and Mr. Pollarsky. Mr. Pollarsky came from a small town in Argentina to New York, the big city, in 1961, with dreams of meeting and promoting, becoming a press agent, for Hollywood stars, the glitterati, and through hard work and perseverance, succeeded. He was well known for interviewing well known personalities: Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Bette Davis, Rock Hudson, Salvador Dali, Edward G. Robinson, the Beatles, Josephine Baker, and many others. Book 12"x12"x1 1/2". Weight 5 lbs 8 oz.
Condition: light toning to drawing edge, wear to cover and loose pages. All illustrations still very good.
