Description
Handmade Kate Carmack Doll by J. Walger in Alaska. Shaw Tl?a, also known as Kate Carmack, was a Tagish First Nation woman who was one of the party that first found gold in the Klondike River in 1896, and is sometimes credited with being the person who made the actual discovery. This doll includes a little handwritten tag with her history with trading post sign, various buttons, and various textiles. Measures 25" x 17" x 6.75" and weighs 1 lb 8 oz.
