Pair framed 1977 Prints of San Francisco by artist Don Davey. In matching frames. Frames 13.5"x16"x1". Weight combined 5 lbs 5 oz. Don Davey (1927-2014) started his distinguished career at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. He has served on the faculty of the Academy of Art in San Francisco and was instrumental in the formation of the Society of Illustrators for which he served as president. On invitation of the United States Air Force, he toured the Orient in return for his subsequent painting. This artwork went on a world tour and became part of the permanent collection of the United States Air Force documentary art program. An award winning artist with both gold and silver medals to his credit, Mr. Davey?s technique, at once factual and impressionistic, has won him a following the world over.
