Description
Rare piece of Revolutionary war correspondence from a captain that was stationed at Winter Camp at Valley Forge dated April 29th, 1778, and was written from Preston, Connecticut, this piece also includes a fantastic print of the camp which was printed by Selmar Hess in New York. Valley Forge is the location of the 1777-1778 winter encampment of the Continental Army under General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War. This piece measures 18.5" in height and 16" in width.
