Description
Absolutely stunning gilt and patinated bronze 8 arm chandelier that once hung in the White House. This chandelier was originally purchased from well known White House & Political Memorabilia Collector Ron Wade in 1997. All parts of the chandelier are original with the exception of the bulb shades. It features beautiful draped gold bead chain, acanthus leaves center shaft. Each S shaped branch is supported by a plinth decorated with a lady head mask supporting circular drip pans and nozzles. All parts are original including the hanging link chain and ceiling cover and the draping chains on the fixture. The only non-original items are the bulb shades. The original were fabric and disintegrated long ago. It is not known the specific room in the white house where the light was hung. There are 2 brass plaques inside the cap with some information including one from the White House dated 72.. Dimensions: 35" in height, 37" in diameter. Weight approximately 40 pds.
Condition: Excellent – Missing one stem cover and one bulb
