Description
Original oil on white opaque glass tiled "Garden Path" by Matilda H. Turner circa 1900. Born in Jerseyville, Illinois, Matilda Turner became a painter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She studied at Marietta College in Ohio, the Pennsylvania Academy with William Merritt Chase, and the Drexel Institute. She became a life member of the Pennsylvania Academy and was a member of the Pennsylvania Society of Miniature Painters. This piece measures 8"x6.5" and weighs 11.4 oz.
