Description
Art Deco Moses Mosaic by Pittsburgh sculptor Charles Bradley Warren (1903-1967). Measures 34.5" x 35.25" x 1". Weight 33 lbs. Brad Warren, born in 1903, would become an acclaimed artist and his Art Deco relief sculptures grace the walls of several schools and churches around the Pittsburgh region. Several can still be seen today. His work stands over the doors at the former North Catholic High School in Troy Hill, built in 1940. A set of unique reliefs illustrating “The Pursuit of Knowledge, ” which one blog describes as a unique combination of “Catholic iconography, Art Deco style, and scientific progressivism."
