Biedermeier Mahogany Bureau a Cylindre, mid-19th century, with impressive flame mahogany, the stepped rectangular top above a cylinder roll top opening to a pull-out writing surface and a central cupboard flanked to either side by three small drawers, over three long drawers, the upper two with recessed panels, raised on bracket feet. 47.5" x 43" x 24.875" PROVENANCE: The Historic Colonel John Ashe House, 32 South Battery, Charleston, SC
