Description
Rare Antique Vera Tischler for Rookwood Pottery Vase. Vera Tischler was born on January 22, 1900 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended the Cincinnati Art Academy and began decorating at Rookwood Pottery in 1920. Her pieces mainly feature matte glazes and floral details. This piece features a beautiful matte blue vellum glaze with hand painted pink floral details. It is signed by the artist on the bottom and is dated 1922, mold #923. It is also indicated that this piece may of been a second but due to it’s unique nature it may of also been held back for future reference. Comes with wooden display stand. The vase itself measures about 2.5" tall, 6.5" in diameter, with an opening of about 4" in diameter. Total lot weight is 1 lb 5 oz.
Condition: good, minor imperfection and crazing due to age
