In frame measures 44"x52"x2". Weight 34 lbs. Born in Russia in 1956, Liudmila Kondakova immigrated to the United States in 1991. A graduate of the Grabar Center in Moscow, she also attended Russias School of Sacred Arts, the Moscow Pedagogical Institute and the Moscow Art Institute. Kondakovas painting technique is reminiscent of medieval egg-tempera painters, and her vibrant palette draws inspiration from Byzantine and Russian icon painters. Her art reflects a blend of nostalgia, romance, and melancholy, often featuring streets with worn cobblestones and aged buildings. You can find her original paintings and limited edition prints in private collections worldwide
