Description
Hans Nikolai Hansen (1853-1923) Bedroom Scene Oil on Canvas. Gilt wood frame. In frame 17.25"x15.5"x2". Weight 3 lbs. Danish figure and history painter, Hans Nikolaj Hansen studied from 1872-76 at the Copenhagen academy and exhibited there since 1877. In 1879/80 he continued his studies in the studio of L. Bonnat in Paris, and 1890/91 in the studio of P. de Chavanne. He was highly praised for fantastic illustrations of fairy tales and legends amd won many awards. In 1911 he became member of the Copenhagen academy.
Condition: 2 small paint flakes, minor wear to frame
