Description
Benin Bronze Plaque Warriers. Benin (now Nigeria) is well known for its remarkable bronze work. This piece was sculpted by hand and then cast in bronze using the lost wax process. Plaques like this one were mounted on the walls of the Oba’s palace and recorded the history of the Benim Kingdom. On iron stand. Measures on stand 15"x6"x17". Weight 26 lbs.
