Description
Ikki Matsumoto (1945-2014) Limited Edition Lithograph, Signed by the artist in pencil and numbered 1008/2000. Professionally framed. Measures 15" x 12 1/8" x 1". Total Weight 2 lbs. Ikki was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1935 to a well-known cartoonist and children’s book illustrator Katsuji Matsumoto. At the age of 20 Ikki travel to the United States to study at the John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. He later transferred to the Art Academy of Cincinnati to study under the renowned wildlife artist Charles Harper. He painted for many years on Sanibel Island in Florida.
