Description
West African, Nigerian Yoruba Beaded Diviner Sash. Early 20th Century. Ornate handmade sash made from cloth and covered in thousands of seed beads and cowrie shells. Belt sashes were worn during ceremonies by diviners/priests to signify spiritual position. Measures 53" x 8.5" and weighs about 4 lbs.
Condition: good, with some age appropriate wear
