Description
A rare 19th century black lacquered papier mache traveling inkwell made in Vienna. The inkwell decorated with floral swag MOP inlay on the base and the top ornate Foliage and "Ink" MOP inlay. The push button springs open and closes easily. The interior is gilded, the cover to the inkwell opens easily revealing the small glass insert. A scarce and hard to find inkwell, perfect for the collector. Measures 2x2x1.50" Wt. 3 oz. PROVENANCE: A Private Charleston SC Estate.
