One in a series of posters commissioned to commemorate a century of art and the passage to the new millennium, designed exclusively for The Museum of Modern Art. It features a Modernist artwork image created by the artist Sol LeWitt, copyright 2000 The Museum of Modern Art. Solomon "Sol " LeWitt ( 1928 – 2007 ) was an American artist of a Russian Jewish background, linked to various movements, including Conceptual Art and Minimalism. LeWitt came to fame in the late 1960’s with his Wall Drawings and " Structures " but was prolific in a wide range of mediums including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, installation, and artist’s books. Artworks by LeWitt have been the subject of hundreds of solo exhibitions in many of the most prestigious museums and galleries around the world since 1965. Framed Poster Measures 23" wide 34" tall.
